Shukto is a very famous dish in Bengal. It is a mixed vegetable dish which is very taste.
By taste something is bitter and something is sweet in it..
Usually in Bengal it is the first thing to eat before start other dishes in plate. It is served with hot plain rice.

Ingredients
1- 100 gm french beans
2- potato 1
3- Bitter gourd 1
4- 1/2 raw banana
5- small sweet potato 1
6- small bari
7- drum stick 1

8- panch poron 1 tbsp
9- ginger paste 25 gm
10- mustard paste 25 gm
11- A pinch of chilli powder
12- 1/2 tsp turmeric
13- Salt to taste
14- mustard oil 25 gm
1/2 cup water
Steps
• Cut and wash the vegetables and raw banana. Put the pieces into turmeric water.
• Take a wok,add oil,add panchforon masala and the ginger paste. Cook until it gets golden brown.
• Add mustard paste, chilli powder and turmeric. Cook until the oil separates. Then add the vegetables and saute for 5 minutes.
• add the sugar and salt to taste and continue
• Add water and cook until the vegetables are tender
• Now add ghee and switch off the flame
