paneer recipe in bangali /chanar dalna recipe

 Paneer recipe/ chanar dalna recipe is a very easy recipe to cooked and is liked by everyone. Here is therecipe for chanar dalna recipe.paneer is also a healthy source protein in paneer.
Ingredients:

                  1 litre whole milk

                3 tbsp lemon juice / juice of 2 lemons

                 2 - 3 tomatoes – chopped

                  2 medium potato –  cubed

                1 inch stick of ginger – minced

                1 tsp turmeric powder

                  2 tsp red chilli powder

                    1 tsp cumin powder


                1 tsp coriander powder

                1 and ½ tsp garam masala powder

                  ½ tsp cumin seeds

               3 green cardamoms

               1 medium stick of cinnamon

               3 cloves

               1 medium bay leaf

                 A handful of fresh coriander leaves – chopped

              2 green chillies – slit

                Salt

               1 tsp sugar

           ¼ th cup of oil

Method:

Heat the milk in a pan until just before it boils..then turn off the heat
Add lemon juice.

Stir milk constantly while adding lemon juice..the solid curds will separate from the liquid whey

Place the cotton or muslin cloth in a strainer..and strain out the whey from curds

Rinse the CHANA or Cottage Cheese   with water...it will help to remove the sourness of chena...

Allow it to for at least 30 minutes

Cube cut chena  and
Cut Potatoes into medium sized Cubes and chop tomatoes roughly.

Heat oil and deep fry or shallow fry CHANA or Cottage Cheese  cubes till it turns light golden brown.Set aside.In the same oil,fry the potato cubes till light brown and keep aside.

In the same oil add cumin seeds, bay leaf, green cardamom, cinnamon stick and cloves.
Saute for half a minute or until the oil becomes fragrant and then add the chopped tomatoes.
Also add the slit green chillies, chopped ginger and sprinkle a pinch of salt and sugar.
Mix in and cook the tomatoes for 5  minutes, or until they become totally mushy and they start to release oil from them.

Now add ¼ cup of water. Mix in and add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder and coriander powder.
Stir them in and cook for another minute or until the raw flavour of the spices are gone.

Next add the cubed fried potatoes or Cottage Cheese  to the tomato gravy. Add  ½ cup of water and put cover.
Cook for 8-12 minutes or until the potatoes are

Add Garam Masala Powder and Ghee to the Gravy and mix properly.

Switch the flame off and give the Curry a rest of 5-7 minutes before serving.
